Novel Coronavirus Issue

Start of Term this coming Saturday
This coming Saturday, 1 Feb 2020 will be the start of term.  All the classes will be held as per the time table attached. 

Novel Coronavirus Arrangement
However, as you are aware, there are concerns about the Novel Coronavirus issue.  Based on the recommendations of the Australian and state governments' recommendations, and the concerns expressed by some members, the Committee asks members to follow the following guidelines:
·         If you feel unwell, particularly with the following symptoms, please seek medical assistance and do not come to class.
o   Fever
o   Flu like symptoms such as coughing, sore throat and headaches
o   Difficult breathing in some cases
·         Any member who has travelled in the past 14 days to China, including Hong Kong, 
o   avoid coming to class at TCG for 14 days after leaving China or Hong Kong, and
o   seek medical assistance if you become unwell during this time.  
o   Any member who has been a close contact (see information below) of a confirmed Novel Coronavirus avoid coming to class at TCG for 14 days after the contact with the confirmed case

WTQA Chinese New Year 24 form Performance - 1 Feb 2020 Postponed 
Please note that the City of Whitehorse has decided to postpone this Saturday’s Chinese New Year festival in Box Hill.  
So there will be no 24 form Mass Performance on Saturday, 1 Feb, 2020 in Box Hill.

Nordic Walking Workshop Monday 27th Jan 2020

Nordic Walking (NW) is an excellent supplementary exercise for Tai Chi practitioners.  For beginners, this workshop will cover the basic techniques of NW.  For those with some NW experience, this workshop can cover more advance techniques.

Date: 27th January 2020

Time: 9 am - 12 noon

Place: Please meet at around 9 am near rotunda inside Canterbury Gardens, Canterbury, 3126.  Please note google map link below:

Parking:   Being public holiday, there should be parking available in the car park (Railway Place) next to the Canterbury railway station.  There are also parking available in Chaucer Crescent close to the park.

Participants:  A maximum of 10  can attend.

Equipment and shoes:  Nordic Walking poles will be provided during the workshop.   Comfortable runners or walking shoes will be suitable for the workshop.

Note: 
BYO all items for outdoor practice e.g. sun hat, sunscreen, drinks, snacks.
If weather is bad, we will have to cancel the Workshop.  If you are not sure, please call Sam Au on 0418-101-937 that morning.   In such an event, we will attempt to reschedule the workshop or provide a full refund.

Menu and Cost:  Lunch special for $13.80 or other meals generally less than $15

New Class Brochure Term 1 2020 and Jan. 2020 Workshops

Please find attached the New Class Brochure which provides details of the coming January workshops and time table for term 1 of 2020.  If interested in attending the workshops, please complete the workshop registration form attached.

Please note that there is a change to the time table next year.  Due to the popularity of Susan's 42 form class, the Committee decided to add another 42 form class at 9:00 am in the Founder's Room area starting term 1 next year.  Albert Leung will be leading that class, assisted by Albert Chan.
